Managed the final preparation phase before the implementation of a 2-year, performance transformation program in a postal operator. Served as the engagement manager of the McKinsey team. Developed recommendations and tools for communication to internal and external stakeholders, monitoring and reporting during implementation, and training of client teams in charge of the change effort.
2005-2007 Business Analyst
  • Growth strategy: Evaluated investment options in energy, metals and mining for a Greek industrial company, as part of a broader risk management study. Presented the resulting investment plan (€1bn +) to the CEO.
  • IT strategy: Assessed the current state of IT and the operational efficiency of major business processes in an insurance company. Assisted in developing its 3-year IT strategy.
  • Post-merger management: Coordinated the post-merger integration of the handset purchasing departments of a mobile operator, its fixed-line parent company and an electronics retailer. Analyzed pricing and market data, and developed the initial strategy of the new unit in the negotiation of over €300m worth of purchases.
  • Cross-border integration: Led the Procurement work stream, in the design of the international organization and governance of a retail banking group spanning seven countries. Identified priority categories with potential synergies of €40m annually, and developed the implementation plan for the new Group Procurement function.
  • Sourcing strategy: Analyzed available and future natural gas sourcing options for a major power generator, and participated in the formulation of a long-term gas sourcing strategy, worth €400m annually.
  • Organization design: Designed and coordinated the implementation of a broad reorganization and transformation project for a leading telecommunications company, including a voluntary retirement scheme for 6,000 employees.
